The CPAPD and Global Partnership for Prevention of Armed Conflict (GPPAC) cosponsored a seminar on the theme of peace-building and prevention of conflict in Beijing on November 25, 2014. The participants at home and abroad exchanged their views and expertise on topics like the role of civil society in regional and international hot issues, the experience and lessons of NGOs in terms of prevention of armed conflict and peace-building, activities of the GPPAC, future exchanges and cooperation between the CPAPD and GPPAC, and so on. Secretary General Mr. Zhu Rui made a keynote speech and his deputy Ms. Chen Huaifan made concluding remarks. Executive Director of the GPPAC Mr. Peter Van Tuigl and his colleagues, scholars from China Foreign Affairs University and China Association for NGO Cooperation attended the seminar.
