A Latin American NGOs Leaders Delegation Visits China

At the invitation by the CPAPD, a NGOs leaders delegation consisted of 15 representatives of peace organizations, media and think tanks from Argentina, Chile, Columbia, Cuba, Ecuador and Mexico visited China from November 1 to 14, 2015. In Beijing, Vice President of the CPAPD Mr. He Jun met with the delegation, and Secretary General Mr. Zhu Rui briefed the delegation about China’s national conditions and political systems and held a work discussion. Mr. Zhang Yu, who is the Dean of School of Economics of Renmin University of China and Council Member of the CPAPD, and Ms. Wu Hongying, who is the Director of the Institute for Latin America Studies of China Institutes of Contemporary International Relations and Council Member of the CPAPD had a thematic introduction to the delegation respectively. The delegation called upon China Metallurgical Group Corporation and had discussion with managers in charge of overseas business. Besides, the delegation also visited Western Yunnan Anti-Japanese Aggression War Memorial Museum and the Memorial Cemetery, modern agricultural projects, new countryside construction, ethnic policies, grass-root party construction, hi-tech enterprises and so on in Yunnan and Guangdong Province.
