CPAPD Delegation Visited the USA, Brazil and Participated the Rio+20

The CPAPD delegation led by Secretary General Zhu Rui paid a visit to the USA and Brazil from June 13th to 22nd.
In the USA, the Delegation met with Ms. Aura Kanegis, Director of Washington Office of the American Friends Service Committee (AFSC) and, Mr. Andrea Bartoli, Dean of School for Conflict Analysis and Resolution of the George Mason University with a focus on the issue of bilateral exchanges and cooperation in the future.
In Brazil, the Delegation met with Mrs. Socorro Gomes, President of World Peace Council (WPC) and, Mr. Aldo Silva Arantes,Director of Brazilian National Institute of Environmental Protection (INMA), as well as Ms. Angela Cotta Ferreira Gomes, Deputy Secretary for the Secretariat for the Economic and Social Development Council (SEDES), seeking common grounds to further the mutual exchanges and cooperation with each other.
Meanwhile, the Delegation also attended in the UN Conference on Sustainable Development (Rio+20) held in Rio de Janeiro with an active participation in NGO workshops and parallel events, demonstrating an active role by China NGOs in the UN Arena.
