At the respective invitation by the Diet's Japan-China Friendship League, Vietnam Peace Committee, Cambodia-China Parliamentary Friendship Group of the Cambodian National Assembly and Cambodian Institute for Cooperation and Peace, and Korean National Peace Committee, H.E. Mr. Li Wuwei, Vice-chairman of the Chinese Peoples’ Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and Vice-president of the Chinese People’s Association for Peace and Disarmament (CPAPD), headed a CPAPD delegation to pay a friendly visit to Japan, Vietnam, Cambodia and the DPRK consecutively from April 14 to 26.

In Japan, Mr. Li met with H.E. Mr. Takahiro Yokomichi, Speaker of the Japanese House of Representatives，as well as H.E. Mr. Komura Masahiko, Chairman of Diet's Japan-China Friendship League and H.E. Mr. Harada Minoru, President of the Soka Gakkai Association. During his stay, Mr. Li addressed with the title of “the Development of China’s Creative Industry under the Financial Crisis” to the audiences from academia and business community of Japan in Tokyo.

In Vietnam, Mr. Li met with comrade Nguyen Sinh Hung, President of the National Assembly of Vietnam and member of the Politburo of the Communist Party of Vietnam, as well as Comrade Uong Chu Luu, the Vice-president of the National Assembly of Vietnam and Chairman of the Vietnam Peace Committee. Mr. Li also visited Comrade Huynh Dam, leader of the Vietnam Fatherland Front. Besides, the delegation had work discussions accordingly with the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations and the Vietnam Peace and Development Foundation.

In Cambodia, Mr. Li met with H.E. Mr. Heng Samrin, President Cambodian National Assembly and H.E. Dr. Cheam Yeap, Vice-chairman of the Cambodia-China Parliamentary Friendship Group and Chairman of Commission on Economy, Finance, Banking and Audit of the Cambodian National Assembly. Chairman of the Board of the Cambodian Institute for Peace and Cooperation, H.R.H. Prince Norodom Sirivudh also had a work discussion with the CPAPD delegation.

In DPRK, Mr. Li met with Comrade Kim Yong Nam, Chairman of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly and Comrade Kim Jong Suk, Chairperson of the Korean Committee for Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries and Chairperson of Korean National Peace Committee (KNPC).
