Online Video Conference Successfully Held between CPAPD and ISRS
On 30 November 2020, the Chinese People’s Association for Peace and Disarmament (CPAPD) and
Institute for Strategic and Regional Studies under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan (ISRS)
held an online video conference. Mr. Sanjar Valiyev, Deputy Director of ISRS, and scholars from ISRS
Center for Regional Studies and from ISRS Center for Asian-Pacific Studies, Mr. Zhou Li, Vice President
of the CPAPD and former Vice Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee,
and Ms. Chen Xiaohan, Deputy Secretary-General, CPAPD attended the conference. Ms. Su Chang,
Research Fellow of Institute for Russia, Eastern Europe and Central Asia Studies of China Academy of
Social Sciences delivered a keynote speech. The two sides conducted in-depth exchanges on the
security situation in Central Asia, jointly advancing the construction of the "Belt and Road" projects
in multiple ways under the epidemic, and exchanges between the two organizations.
