Upon respective invitations by the Center for Strategic Studies under the President of Azerbaijan (SAM), and the Marmara Group Strategic and Social Research Foundation in Turkey, the CPAPD delegation led by H.E. Mr. Ma Biao, Vice-chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and CPAPD Vice-president, visited Azerbaijan and Turkey from November 3^rd to 9^th. Mr. Ma was accompanied by CPAPD vice-president Mr. He Jun.

 

During his visit to Azerbaijan, Mr. Ma Biao respectively met with the First Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly of Azerbaijan Mr. Ziyafat Askarov, Deputy Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Mr. Ali Ahmadov, Deputy Executive Secretary of the New Azerbaijan Party (YAP) Mr. Siyavush Novruzov, and Sam Director Mr. Farhad Mammadov. Mr. Ma also published an article entitled ‘Build the Silk Road Economic Belt by joining hands, and Share the Peace, Development and Prosperity Together’ in the major newspaper of Azerbaijan.

 

During his visit to Turkey, Mr. Ma Biao met with the Deputy Speaker of the Turkish Grand National Assembly Mr. Sadik Yakut. Mr. Ma also attended the seminar entitled ‘The Silk Road: Communication, Cooperation and Win-Win’ co-hosted by the CPAPD and Marmara Group Foundation in Istanbul.
