CPAPD Co-organized the 8th“the Flag of Peace” World Children Calling for Peace Series of Events in Beijing with China Association for Promoting Children’s Culture and Art (CAPCCA)
From September 16th to 17th, the Chinese People’s Association for Peace and Disarmament (CPAPD) Co-organized the 8th “the Flag of Peace” World Children Calling for Peace Series of Events in Beijing together with China Association for Promoting Children’s Culture and Art, and the UN System in China. Mr. Yu Hongjun, vice-president of the CPAPD participated in the opening ceremony of the Event held in Beijing Olympic Forest Park on Sep. 16th, accompanied by CPAPD secretary general Mr. An Yuejun, and delivered an opening remarks at the opening ceremony.
“The Flag of Peace” World Children Calling for Peace Series of Events aims at implementing the spirit of the UN Convention on the rights of the Child as well as the concept of building a community of shared future for mankind advocated by the Chinese leader, publicizing the thoughts of safeguarding world peace and sheltering all children, and expressing children’s sincere wish for world peace and tranquility through means of painting and art performance by children from various countries and nationalities.
