CPAPD Vice President Heads a Delegation to Participate in the World Conference against A&H-Bombs in Japan, Visit Pakistan and Have a Stopover in Thailand


At the invitation by Japan’s Gensuikyo and Pakistan Regional Peace Institute, Mr. He Jun, Vice President of the CPAPD headed a 6-member delegation to participate in the World Conference against A&H-Bombs held in Hiroshima, Japan, visited Pakistan and transited in Thailand from August 4 to 13, 2015.
During the stay in Japan, the delegation attended some activities of the World Conference and Mr. He Jun delivered a speech about China’s policies on nuclear disarmament and path of peaceful development at the 70th Anniversary Hiroshima Day Rally. The delegation also called on Mr. Azuma Koshiishi, Vice President of the Japanese House of Councilors, and Mr. Toshihiro Nikai, Chairman of the General Council of Liberal Democratic Party, exchanging views on issues of common concern like Sino-Japanese relations and people-to-people exchanges. It also had meetings or discussions respectively with Japan NPO World Corporation, Hiroshima Peace Culture Foundation, Japan Peace Committee, Gensuikyo, Soka Gakkai, and Association for Inheriting and Developing Murayama Statement.
During the visit in Pakistan, the delegation met with Mr. Shahbaz Sharif, Chairman of Pakistan Muslim League (N) and Chief Minister of Punjab Province, and Mr. Murtaza Javed Abbasi, Deputy Speaker of National Assembly of Pakistan, and had a discussion with Pakistan Regional Peace Institute. The two sides exchanged views about China Pakistan Economic Corridor and the One Belt One Road Initiative. By using the stopover in Bangkok, the delegation met with Ms. Kalaya Sophonpanich, Deputy Chairwoman and Mr. Kanok Wongtrangan, Deputy Secretary General of Democratic Party of Thailand, discussing the One Belt One Road Initiative and people-to-people exchanges between China and Thailand.
