CPAPD President Mr. Han Qide met with Israel’s Ambassador to China Matan Vilnai
On the evening of July 4th, Israel’s Ambassador to China Matan Vilnai hosted a banquet for H.E. Mr. Han Qide, Vice-chairman of the Chinese Peoples’ Political Consultative Conference and President of the Chinese People’s Association for Peace and Disarmament in Beijing. Mr. He Jun, Vice President of the CPAPD and Assistant Minister of the International Department, Central Committee of the CPC also attended.
As Mr. Han just visited Israel, he introduced main achievements and experiences of this visit on request. Mr. Han recalled his official goodwill visit to Israel from June 17th to 19th at the invitation of the Steering Committee of the 5th Israeli Presidential Conference, during which he met with H.E. Mr. Shimon Peres, the President of Israel as well as Mr. Yuli Edelstein, the Speaker of the Knesset, and also attended and addressed the China-Israel Friendly Associations and Think Tanks Workshop. Mr. Han said he felt the enthusiasm from both the Israeli government and its people from this visit and he was very confident on the future development of the China-Israel relations.
Ambassador Matan congratulated Mr. Han on achieving such a successful visit. The Ambassador said, the two peoples always enjoyed profound traditional friendship while the Israel-China relations had witnessed great progress in recent years. He emphasized the importance of strengthening the bi-lateral exchanges and dialogues in various forms to promote mutual understanding and trust. He also expressed his hopes to continuously bring about deeper Israel-China cooperation in all fields.
