CPAPD President Mr. Han Qide Visits Cambodia, Malaysia and Indonesia


At the invitation of the Senate of Cambodia, Malaysia Global Movement of Moderates Foundation (GMOMF) and Indonesian Institute of Sciences (LIPI), Mr. Han Qide, Vice Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference and President of the Chinese People’s Association for Peace and Disarmament (CPAPD) visited the above-mentioned three countries as head of the CPAPD delegation from June 25 to July 4, 2015.
During the stay in Cambodia, the delegation respectively met with Cambodian Senate President Mr. Say Chhum, Cambodian National Assembly President Mr. Heng Samrin and Deputy Prime Minister of Cambodia and Minister in Charge of the Office of the Council of Ministers of Cambodia Mr. Sok An, etc. The delegation also attended the “Seminar on the Opportunities and Challenges in China-Cambodia Cooperation” co-hosted by the CPAPD, the Cambodia Development Resource Institute and the Chinese Embassy in Cambodia. President Han Qide delivered a keynote speech at the seminar.
In Malaysia, the delegation met with President of the Dewan Negara Mr. Abu Zahar Ujang and had a work discussion with the GMOMF and Malaysia Institute of Strategic and International Studies. The delegation also inspected a project of the China Metallurgical Group Corporation under construction in Kuala Lumpur.
During the visit in Indonesia, the delegation respectively met with Speaker of the People's Consultative Assembly Mr. Zulkifli Hasan and Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Mr. Tedjo Edhy Purdijatno. The delegation also attended the seminar entitled “China’s ‘One Belt One Road’ Initiative and Indonesia’s Maritime Axis Strategy” co-hosted by the CPAPD, the LIPI and the Chinese Embassy in Indonesia. President Han Qide delivered a keynote speech at the seminar.
