At the respective invitation of the Steering Committee of the 5^th Israeli Presidential Conference and the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, H.E. Mr. Han Qide, Vice-chairman of the Chinese Peoples’ Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and President of the Chinese People’s Association for Peace and Disarmament, headed a CPAPD delegation to attend the Presidential Conference in Israel and pay an official goodwill visit to the above two countries from June 10^th to 19^th.

In Turkey, Mr. Han met with Prof. Dr. Mehmet SAGLAM, Vice-Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey. The two sides exchanged positive views on the China-Turkey relations and shared the willingness to promote the sustainable development of China-Turkey strategic and cooperative relations from the perspective of parliaments. Mr. Han also attended and addressed the China-Turkey NGO Roundtable meeting co-sponsored by the CPAPD, the Consulate-General of China in Istanbul and the Marmara Group Foundation.

In Israel, Mr. Han attended the Presidential Conference, met with H.E. Mr. Shimon Peres, the President of Israel as well as Mr. Yuli Edelstein, the Speaker of the Knesset. Leaders of both sides exchanged positive views on the China-Israel relations and expressed common wishes to develop the China-Israel friendly and cooperative relations in an all-round and consecutive way. Besides political meetings, Mr. Han also attended and addressed the China-Israel Friendly Associations and Think Tanks Workshop sponsored by the CPAPD.

The CPAPD delegation finished the visit to Turkey and Israel and returned to China on the 19^th.
