On May 13, Peng Qinghua, vice-chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, met with some foreign representatives attending the 4th Wanshou Dialogue on Global  Security at the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse. Peng, in light of the current international hot issues and regional security situation, expounded China's position and propositions, and exchanged views on topics of common concern.
