CPAPD Vice President Mr. Zhou Li visits Russia, Pakistan and Bangladesh

At the invitation of the Russian Committee of Solidarity and Cooperation with the peoples of Asia and Africa (RCSCAA), the Institute of Strategic Study, Islamabad (ISSI), and the Bangladesh Peace Council (BPC), Mr. Zhou Li, Vice President of the Chinese People’s Association for Peace and Disarmament (CPAPD) and former Vice-Minister of the International Department, Central Committee of the CPC visited Russia, Pakistan and Bangladesh as head of the CPAPD delegation from 10th to 19th May, 2018.
During the stay in Russia, Mr. Zhou met respectively with Deputy Speaker of the Federation Council and President of the RCSCAA Iliyas Umakhanov, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister and Presidential Envoy for the Middle East Mikhail Bogdanov, Vice Chairman of the Communist Party of Russia Central Committee Dmitry Novikov, Vice Chairman of the International Affairs Committee of the Russian State Duma and President of the International Association of Peace Foundations Anatoly Karpov, Secretary General of the Interparliamentary Assembly of the CIS Member Nations Yury Osipov, Chairman of Saint Petersburg Committee for External Affairs Dmitriyevich, and had discussions with the RCSCAA and the Institute of Oriental Studies, Russian Academy of Sciences.
During the stay in Pakistan, Mr. Zhou met respectively with Deputy Speaker of Pakistan's National Assembly Murtaza Javed Abbasi, Chairman of Pakistan’s Senate Foreign Affairs Committee and the Parliamentary Committee on CPEC Mushahid Hussain Sayed, and the Central Joint Secretary of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Party Mr. Bayazeed Kasi. The delegation also had discussions and exchanges with friends of then ISSI and Regional Peace Institute.
During the stay in Bangladesh, Mr. Zhou met respectively with Presidium Members of Bangladesh Awami League Muhammad Faruq Khan, President and Secretary of International Affairs of Bangladesh Awami League Muhammad Zamir and Dr. Shammi Ahmed, Chairman and Secretary of Chairperson of Parliamentary Standing Committee on Ministry of Foreign Affairs and former Foreign Minister Dr. Dipu Moni, and attended the seminar on China-Bangladesh Relationship and International Security Situations held by the BPC, the Bangladesh Institute of International and Strategic Studies, the Center for Research and Information, University of Dhaka and so on.
