On April 29th, 2015, the Chinese People’s Association for Peace and Disarmament (CPAPD), the China Foundation for Peace and Development, the American Friends Service Committee and the US Institute of Peace successfully co-sponsored the 6th Sino-US Civil Peace Forum in Washington DC.
The CPAPD delegation including 6 leading experts on Sino-US relations who are also council members of the CPAPD had extensive and intensive discussions with their interlocutors of the US about issues like the orientation and connotation of the Sino-US relations, and cooperation and competition between China and the US on the issue of Asia-Pacific peace and stability as well as within international multilateral mechanisms. The delegation also called on National Security Council at the White House, State Department, the American Center for Progress and the National Bureau of Asian Research.
