Sri Lanka Delegation Visited China
At the invitation of the CPAPD, a 5-member-delegation of the Pathfinder Foundation (hereinafter referred to as PF) from Sri Lanka, Headed by Dr. Indrajit Coomaraswamy, Deputy Chairman of the PF, visited China from January 13th to 19th, 2013. The Vice-Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the National People’s Congress & Executive Vice-President of the CPAPD, Mr. Ma Wenpu met with the delegation. In Beijing, Mr. Zhu Rui, Secretary General of the CPAPD chaired a working seminar, on which the two sides lively exchanged views and candid opinions for further cooperation. The delegation also had meetings with the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Engineering and the National Tourism Administration of China. Besides Beijing, the delegation also visited Changzhou, Jiangsu Province from January 16th to 19th, where the delegation paid field visits and had productive meetings with the Dongfeng Agricultural Machinery Group, Changzhou Agricultural Committee and Changzhou Tourism Bureau.
The delegation is the first one that the CPAPD hosted in the new year of 2013. As the first step to fulfill the cooperation memorandum between the two organizations, the delegation’s visit set a solid foundation for further exchanges and pragmatic cooperation between the PF and the CPAPD.
