At the cordial invitation of Tanzanian Parliament Speaker Mme. A. Kakinde, Ugandan Parliament Speaker Mme. Rebecca Kadaga and Zimbabwean President of the Senate Mme. Edna Madzongwe, Mr. Li Wuwei, Vice-Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and Vice-President of the Chinese People’s Association for Peace and Disarmament (CPAPD), headed the CPAPD delegation on a good-will visit to Tanzania, Uganda and Zimbabwe from August 16th to 28th, 2011. During the visit to these three African countries, Mr. Li Wuwei and his delegation were given warm hospitality by the hosts. Mr. Li met with leaders of the Government, Parliament and NGOs of the three countries and had friendly discussions on issues of common concern.
