A CPAPD Delegation Visits India
At the invitation of the All India Peace and Solidarity Organization (AIPSO), a 6-member delegation headed by Mr. Liu Jingqin, the vice-president of the Chinese People¡¯s Association for Peace and Disarmament (CPAPD), paid a good-will visit to India from 7 to 14, March 2006. This visit was to attend the China-India Friendship Year celebration activities. During its stay in India, the delegation met with leaders of various political parties, peace and friendship organization, and held a joint seminar in New Dehli with the AIPSO, with the focus on ¡°the new dimensions China-India relations and their positive impacts¡±. The delegation also went to Chandigarh and Agra, meeting with local peace and friendship organizations and masses, visited the Punjab university and other institutions. The visit was most rewarding and fruitful, and has contributed much to the deepening of mutual understanding and friendship between the two peoples.
